Website Software - Notice our new look?  We would like to continue to expand on our current website to incorporate membership data management and processing of online payments for programs, events, classes, donations and memberships. Using the upgraded software we would have the ability to offer our newsletter online to members only which is not available using the current software. Cost $1,080 

Point of Sale System - Uses include: New Data Management system needed to track admissions, sales, donations, memberships and outreach programs. The price includes all software, hardware and training.  Cost $5,250

Nature Center Enhancement

Food for Birds of Prey is needed year round for the six birds housed at the Nature Center. We obtain food from a variety of sources, some of which is donated, such as spawned salmon from a local hatchery but our cost to feed all our animals exceeds $2000 per year. Donations to assist with this expense are always appreciated. 

Scholarship for Summer Student Intern in 2011 Each summer one young person who "graduated" from the Junior Naturalist Volunteer program is hired to work with Nature Center staff.  The program was created to provide an opportunity for young people ages 15 - 18 who have outgrown the Junior Naturalist program but would like to continue working with Naturalists and gain a better understanding about the natural sciences.    Cost: $1800

A stackable washer/dryer for cleaning donated clothing (our space is extremely limited and will only fit a stackable unit)

Observatory Enhancements

Meteorite Exhibit at the Nature Center is currently one of the largest displays of meteorites on the west coast. Currently, many of these specimens are on loan. We need your help to raise the funds to purchase our own specimens.

Computerize the Martin JMI18" telescope. JMI has come out with a new update for this telescope, and we think it would be a great feature for the observatory $4800

MallinCam Video Camera and accessories. This new advance camera is all the buzz in the astronomy world. It works well with the observatories other CCD cameras and would be a great addition to the observatories fine assortment of telescopes $1500

Tele Vue Ethos 17mm eyepiece. Yes, Tele Vue has come out with a new cool eyepiece that the staff wants to add. It would work well on many telescopes, with the fantastic 100 degree view $700

Deep sky filter package: These deep sky filters are used in the telescopes to enhance deep sky viewing. Filters cost $90 each. We’re looking for six more.

Updated micro focuser for the Yocum 20" telescope $700
